.... the nights have turned cold all of a sudden. It was only 8c first thing this morning, and the cloud was slow to shift so it wasn't until early afternoon that more comfortable temperatures were achieved. It peaked at 28c in the end.
The aubergine plant (left) was very slow to get going for some reason, and only now has it started to flower. I guess it will be too late for the fruit to develop, alas.
We had a walk through the woods yesterday afternoon and these small pink flowers (above) caught my eye - striking and spring-like amidst the generally autumnal ambiance of their surroundings.
