This Lizard orchid has appeared in an area of the garden where they haven't been before. It's a fine specimen, although it's not the most dramatic species we have. The lush green leaves which it had early in the season - it featured in an earlier post on the blog (4th March) - are now largely brown, as is much of the grass you can see in the background.
