.... was to fit a replacement fridge into the kitchen. We returned from Hong Kong to discover that the existing fridge had died in our absence.
The fitting was not as straight forward as it might have been, since the design was different. The furniture door was mounted onto the fridge door originally, and had no hinges of its own. Fortunately, I was able to modify the hinges from the old system so that I could use them to hang the door in front of the new fridge.
It was all sorted by lunchtime and this afternoon we have been to the tip to dispose of the dead fridge and to collect another load of compost for the garden.
Just as we begin to get back into a routine here, I have to prepare for another work trip which will take me to London for a couple of weeks. I'll be glad when that one is over and I can settle properly into life here, for a while, at least.
The weather has remained unsettled and it seems ages since we saw any sunshine, but the forecast suggests that a better spell is on its way, starting tomorrow. Let's hope that turns out to be the case.
Have you sampled any of the live recordings of choral music featured on the Moments Musicaux page of the website?
Or there's a Christmas Carol selection available here.
