... to really take charge of the weather at the moment, and it was another cold night last night, with a frost. Plants in our poly-tunnel seem to have survived, but some damage to the cherry blossom is likely.
The forsythia (above) is in full bloom and all the bushes are covered in flowers this time.
Over the last couple of years we have been planting fruit trees to form a small orchard on our field. The latest addition is to be a pomegranate tree (left) which I picked up at the garden centre yesterday. There are one or two mature trees growing in the area so I'm hopeful that it will establish and fruit in due course. First I have the task of digging a large hole to plant it in - not very easy in this rocky terrain !
