... it's hard to believe that just a few days ago I was huddled by the log fire to ward off the damp and cold which had ruled throughout April. Today it's over 30c outside - a typical temperature for this time of year - and the world seems a very different place.
I've finally been able to mow the entire garden for the first time this season - some parts were over 30cm tall and presented a challenge even to my large sit-on mower. Anyway it's done now, and hopefully, keeping it in check will be relatively straightforward as the season progresses.
This cactus is a mass of flower buds at the moment - it's going to be an impressive show when they all come out.
