Finally we have some proper summer weather at last, and the cool damp year has clearly suited our wild flower meadow (below) which has been a mass of colour since the early spring when it was carpeted in yellow, punctuated by the early orchids. These plants and completely wild - we have not seeded this area !
The pomegranate tree is looking good at the moment, but I fear it will not last since the lower bark has been eaten by the deer. I'm fully expecting the tree to die now, but we shall see.
