... the blueberries will all be eaten by the blackbirds long before they get the chance to become blue ! I spent the morning yesterday creating a cage from some pieces of old packaging wood and some netting. Hopefully that will enable us to be the consumers of the berries this year. The wood is only thin which posed challenges in the construction but it makes the cage light and easy to remove when it comes to picking the fruit later on.
The cold air has finally given up its grip and we had more typical temperatures yesterday for this time of the year - 26°C.
The warm, dry day was ideal for mowing etc. after lunch.
