Keeping everything in the garden watered is quite time consuming, and our rainwater supplies are beginning to look a little depleted. The forecast is suggesting that the hot spell may break down into some stormy weather later in the coming week, which will certainly be welcome in the garden, although it is not well timed as we are entertaining a guest for a few days and fine weather would be more helpful in that respect.
The cucumbers are doing well in the polytunnel - we had some early pickings, then the colder spell in May stopped them in their tracks. They are growing strongly again now, though.
