Having moved to a city centre hotel, I spent my day off wandering around local markets and the IT Mall. Hong Kong has some very attractive parks, which are always maintained to the highest standards. This attractive bed is typical of the many that are currently in bloom in Kowloon Park.
It's been a very cloudy day, with no hint of the sun; it was a little chilly first thing, but the afternoon warmed, despite the lack of sunshine.
..... has been creating quite a stir since it arrived in Hong Kong's famous "Victoria Harbour" the other day. The local media has been sent into something of a frenzy over this interesting piece of conceptual artwork. It's creator, Florentijn Hofman, is Dutch. From the photo it's not easy to guage the scale of it ... but it's certainly not small .... and neither is the crowd of people who are flocking to see it constantly. The enitre waterfront area was a solid mass of people yesterday - it was impossible to get near it. Now that the big May holiday period is over, today it was still very busy, but at least it was possible to get near enough to take the photo.
Have you sampled any of the live recordings of choral music featured on the Moments Musicaux page of the website?
Or there's a Christmas Carol selection available here.
Michel - just an ordinary guy, I guess. A musician by trade and into 'techy' things as 'relaxation'. Originally from the UK, but resident in France for 13 years.
