.... although there was some high cloud yesterday which pegged back the temperature noticeably. Today would seem to be heading in a similar direction - low 20s rather than high 20s.
There are several quite mature japonica bushes in the garden, and they tend to flower at slightly different times, so we have been enjoying the bright red flowers since January. The specimen in the photo is one of the later ones, being at its peak right now.
We had a good crop of blueberries last year, and having potted on the plant in the autumn, it's now covered in blossom which augurs well for this year's harvest. The first of the flowers have opened over the last couple of days - most have a way to go yet.
