.... the local community held a "Moules Frites" evening which we attended with some friends. It is only the second time it has been held in our village and with over 210 in attendance it was a very convivial affair.
The long hot, dry spell finally broke yesterday morning and some extended periods of rain have no doubt done wonders for the garden which was starting to suffer badly from a lack of water. Some further rain is forecast over the next couple
of days, but a return to long sunny days is expected after that. I have work looming on the horizon once again, so it looks like our friends who will be in residence during our absence will benefit from some good summer weather this year.
