It was a treat to hear good quality music in such a stunning venue, although ending the concert with a rather recherché piece by Arvo Pärt would not have been my choice of programme order. The first movement of the Beethoven (Razumovsky Quartet) and the Barber (Adagio) were moments which sparkled particularly.
There has been quite a bit of cloud around recently, and even the odd rumble of thunder, but not a drop of rain, so the garden is starting to look quite brown and parched.
My Ricoh 3800 has finally died and is now, sadly, beyond reasonable repair, so I have to scrap it. We will go to Bordeaux on Friday to pick up its replacement, which is to be a second Xerox DC242. I'm hoping I will one day find the time to add a page for that model to the website, but that's unlikely to be any time soon !
Have you sampled any of the live recordings of choral music featured on the Moments Musicaux page of the website?
Or there's a Christmas Carol selection available here.
