... in it's abnormal way, with frequent periods of rain, albeit only light. A settled spell of hot weather, is however now beginning and it's set to last for a while, so it should finally feel like summer has really arrived. A brief spell away last weekend took us down to the Lot to visit friends on holiday there. En route, we called in at Rocamadour - one of the major staging posts on the medieval pilgrimage route to Santiago in northern Spain. |

... at Le Vigeant today came about because we were lucky enough to be given two tickets for a big event sponsored by Ferrari. It's an event held as a fund raiser for cancer research which is now in its 25th year.
It was blisteringly hot with temperatures in the mid 30s, so you had to seek regular periods of shade to recover. It was an interesting spectacle, with the old vehicles being of greater interest as far as I was concerned. |
