Rocamadour, France
... in it's abnormal way, with frequent periods of rain, albeit only light.  A settled spell of hot weather, is however now beginning and it's set to last for a while, so it should finally feel like summer has really arrived.
Rocamadour France
A brief spell away last weekend took us down to the Lot to visit friends on holiday there.  En route, we called in at Rocamadour - one of the major staging posts on the medieval pilgrimage route to Santiago in northern Spain.

Niort (79) France
.... which lasted only a couple of days, June has so far been remarkably cold and wet.  Added to that, a violent storm passed through last Friday, with 100km / hour winds.  Fortunately we escaped any damage this time.

Saturday saw us in Niort (photo) in the Deux Sèvres where I had a meeting with the MP to enlist his aid in chasing up my citizenship application.  It's now over 2½ years since I applied for French citizenship ... and so far no news.  Let's hope a letter from the MP will provoke some reaction from the appropriate department .... but I'm not anticipating anything soon.  The wheels of power grind slowly in these parts !

... at Le Vigeant today came about because we were lucky enough to be given two tickets for a big event sponsored by Ferrari.  It's an event held as a fund raiser for cancer research which is now in its 25th year.
It was blisteringly hot with temperatures in the mid 30s, so you had to seek regular periods of shade to recover.   It was an interesting spectacle, with the old vehicles being of greater interest as far as I was concerned.

Have you sampled any of the live recordings of choral music featured on the Moments Musicaux page of the website?
Or there's a Christmas Carol selection available here.

Michel - just an ordinary guy, I guess.  A musician by trade and into 'techy' things as 'relaxation'.  Originally from the UK, but resident in France for 13 years.
Work sometimes takes me to far-flung places, but it's nowhere near as exotic as it may seem, I can assure you.
