It seems hard to believe I've been out here for five weeks already, but there's still a while to go before I can head back home to get on with the projects we have in hand, not least the new deck. The Easter week end will at least give me one extra day of rest in the gruelling schedule. | ... and it's a momentous week end here in Singapore as the state funeral is taking place of the late prime minister Lee Kuan Yew. Back at home, a week further on, and the magnolia-stellata (left) is resplendent in more flowers than I've ever seen on it at one time. Down on our field, David has added two more trees to our young orchard, including this nectarine. |

... provided plenty of photo opportunities on the second day of the week end. There was more shade available here than at the Gardens on the Bay which made it more bearable in the heat of the day. Some timely clouds also helped. Work looms early in the morning, and there'll be little chance to see anything but four walls, a piano and a desk for the rest of the week. Hopefully there'll be something for the blog next week end !
