... and only one more to go now. Early starts will be needed for my final week as well, since the new venue is also a long journey from the hotel, but in totally the opposite direction to the previous one. At least I'll not need to cross through any of the areas affected by the current protests this coming week, so there shouldn't be any untoward hold ups in the transport.
The trams (above) are a very idiomatic feature of Hong Kong island, but they do not extend to the New Territories where I'll be working this coming week.
Sky scrapers are very much part of the Hong Kong landscape, and probably the feature most commonly associated with the image of HK, but much of the territory is actually quite mountainous. The steep slopes mean that there is little flat land suitable for building, and hence the only way to go is up. The shot above, taken on Ap Lei Chau, illustrates this concept well.
Have you sampled any of the live recordings of choral music featured on the Moments Musicaux page of the website?
Or there's a Christmas Carol selection available here.
Michel - just an ordinary guy, I guess. A musician by trade and into 'techy' things as 'relaxation'. Originally from the UK, but resident in France for 13 years.
