.... blowing from the north continues to bring low temperatures for this time of the year. Last night it was down to only 2.6°C in the polytunnel - the lowest since the 9th April. The forecast suggests we are stuck with this air flow for another week, too. This is really holding back the vegetable garden, especially the squashes and courgettes.
The acacia trees, which are quite numerous in the surrounding woodland, are festooned with flowers at this time of the year. Most are white in colour, but there are a few which are purple (right).
