..... after nearly three weeks of sunshine, we awoke to a chilly fog this morning. It was slow to lift, too, only really clearing from late afternoon onwards. It was consequently quite chilly, with a maximum of 15c feeling really rather cold after temperatures in the high 20s.
It was, nonetheless, dry, and we were able to press on with cladding the woodwork on the outside of the property - an ongoing process which we began last summer. Our supply of materials has now run out, as has my available time, so that job will have to go on hold now, until I return from my next work trip which begins at the end of next week. There is a significant amount of exterior woodwork on the house, so it will be some time before the whole job will be finished, but once done, there will be no further need to varnish which is both time consuming and costly.
