The viburnum at the end of our sun deck is a mass of flowers at the moment, and when the sun is out it is alive with bees. The local colonies have obviously not shut down for the winter yet. One colony is located in a hollow of an oak tree quite near to the house. It has been there some years now. With no-one stealing their honey, they should have plenty to get them through the cold times ahead.
